Jennifer Smith teacher training program focuses on educating students on the meaning of the tradition of yoga, celebrating the lineage of past gurus, and growing their physical practice while honing the skills needed to become a well rounded teacher. The program aims to blend the philosophy, theory, and technique of the yoga tradition while fostering a very meaningful and dedicated practice.

This 200 hour’s extensive curriculum covers the body aspect- learning, teaching, and adjusting asanas with focus on correct foundation and alignment, the mind- learning to be in control of one’s thoughts using a variety of breathing and meditation techniques, and spirit- finding a connection with the body, self, and divine.

Whether you are deepening your practice or starting a career as a yoga teacher this training meets all the requirements of Yoga Alliance and upon completion of our 200  and 300 hour programs you will qualify to be Yoga Alliance RYT. My goal is that through the exploration of mind, body, & spirit, you will find a connection to yourself and others.

This fun class begins with a short lesson on paddle basics followed an energizing yoga class. Students will enjoy paddling to a quiet spot on the bay anchoring their board and beginning their floating yoga session with Pranayama (breath). Every class is uniquely different with stretch, spinal balance, and a variety of yoga poses ending with Savasana (resting pose). Modifications will be shared to accommodate ALL levels from beginners to advanced. Bring a friend or two to share this amazing experience combining yoga with nature! Also bring water, and sun gear. Paddle board equipment and yoga provided.

Yoga 108’s Ashtanga immersion goes beyond the asanas, aiming to guide you on a path of physical and spiritual transformation building a strong foundation and understanding of the Ashtanga yoga practice. In this comprehensive course you will delve deep into lineage, tradition, lifestyle, asana, and philosophy to deepen the knowledge of ourselves as well as our education on the practice. The practice of Ashtanga yoga builds a strong foundation, deep respect, and unconditional devotion for the yoga tradition.

You will be established in

– A daily practice and technique of the postures of the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series

– Practice and applied knowledge of the bandhas

– Learn traditional Sanskrit vinyasa count as well as Sanskrit for all asanas of the Primary Series

– Learn the opening and closing prayers

– In depth knowledge on all the alignment and applied anatomy of all postures and vinyasas of the series

– Learn and use yoga drills to build strength and gain flexibility for the series

– Learn and practice how to safely assist and adjust key postures of the Primary series in great detail

– Yoga philosophy as per Patanjali

Time to get in shape and find your zen. Hula hoop sweat + stretch is a great way to amplify your life with playful workout and focused stretching and relaxation. In this cardio blast expect to get your heart pumping and your brain working with some great hula hoop drills combined with a hoop crafted vinyasa flow. During this flow we will synchronize the breath with the movement to create a moving meditation, to help find inner stillness that you can find again and again. All levels are welcome, and please sign up in advance as spaces are very limited, and hoops will be supplied. (you are welcome to bring your own as well)

This is a great workshop for students and teachers who want to explore sensations of the body and depth of the asanas.  Good for levels 2 and up.
